At Rudheath Primary Academy we believe in providing children with a wide range of musical opportunities to enable them to fulfil both their individual creativity and develop their team-working skills. As well as providing a source of enjoyment for children and adults alike, music has the ability to improve mental well-being. It provides an extra vehicle to express and communicate feelings. Understanding both the emotional and cultural differences within music facilitates children to understand the world around them. We value the importance of giving our children access to a musical education by teaching them the key knowledge and skills to help them to appreciate all kinds of music.
